Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester and Mechanic to join our team. In this dual role, you will conduct MOT tests to ensure vehicles meet safety and environmental standards while also performing maintenance and repair tasks. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles as needed.
  • Identify and resolve faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
  • Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly and professionally to customers.
  • Keep the workshop and testing area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Support the team in delivering high-quality service and maintaining customer satisfaction.

  • Expertise in vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools essential for both inspections and repairs.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, and transmissions.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
  • Effective communication skills for customer interactions.
  • Ability to manage physical tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary.

Job Details

  • Type: Full-time
  • Pay: Dependent on experience, with the opportunity for bonuses
  • Benefits: Company pension, on-site parking

  • Requirements: Driving licence preferred
